MARTELÉE LACQUER
The result of ongoing research and the virtuosity of Philippe Hurel's workshops, the new Martelée lacquer completes the range of exclusive finishes in the collection. A play of reflections and relief, the lacquer is subtly textured to give an impression of denting. Satin or glossy, it is available in four shades: Bronze, Sulfur, Inox and Lune. A fabulous alternative to metallization, it displays all its nuances on the Canti console, the Milos mirror and the Jack pedestal table for this 2021 collection.
WASHI LACQUER
The range of Washi lacquers, exclusive to Philippe Hurel, has been enriched with 3 new seasonal shades inspired by nature: Celadon, Craie and Galet. The colors are skilfully combined and the lacquers are layered one after the other, creating a brushed and squared pattern in the image of the most delicate Japanese papers. A subtle play on tones and techniques that creates the sensation of a surface in relief, animated by light vibrations, and adds beauty to the furniture.
An exquisite combination of colours and superpositions of shades, the lacquer has a profond texture which gives an impression of texture and a paint brushed aspect. Available in satin and gloss, Washi enhances all surfaces.
NUAGE LACQUER
Inspired by Japanese prints and imagery stones, Nuage lacquer comes in 4 colors but can be customized as you wish, giving it a unique depth. Its pearly aspect, transports us in landscapes oscillating between the stars and the most beautiful shells.
TRADITIONAL LACQUER
Maison Philippe Hurel proposes a range of exclusive lacquers developed using traditional expertise and rendering due homage to ancestral techniques and to a constantly reinvented form of artistic expression. Inlaying of amber, mother-of-pearl or gold relief in the material as in the technique used for Aubane. Another technique, known as Coromandel, consists in applying the lacquer in successive layers to obtain a depth in which deep incisions are made. The high gloss lacquer, whether ornamented or not, has a high degree of resistance.
